While the vast majority of phones does not yet have Jelly Bean installed it is not to difficult to get a little Jelly Bean feeling to your Gingerbread or Ice Cream Sandwich device. A first and easy measure is installing one of Google’s new Jelly Bean wallpapers from the gallery below.
Also a backport of the new Jelly Bean Keyboard is available on Google Play. It may not have all new features of the updated Android 4.2 keyboard but it has an updated word prediction and the latest version also supports gesture typing. Besides this it can give manufacturer customized devices a cleaner AOSP look. A number of language packs for this keyboard are also available in the Play store making it a good tool for adding missing localization.
